Eastgate's World Series Winnings To Go South?
Updated 02 Dec 08
Denmark's Peter Eastgate took home a cool $9,152,416 when he won the 2008 WSOP's main event and the Danish gov't wants a piece of the action.

According to Bluff Europe, the Danish government is intent on taxing Eastgate for his big win to the tune of a potential $6.5 million.

That would leave Eastgate with only $2.5 million of his final table win, significantly less than runner up Ivan Demidov, who will take home $5.8 million, after taxes.
